For 2020 we’re excited to offer a multitude of events for the Original Miami Beach Antique Show
Jewelry History Series (January 3 – 4, 2020):
The Jewelry History Series is a 2-day educational conference taking place at The Original Miami Beach Antique Show. The series includes lectures and panel discussions with world-renowned experts in their fields, covering a variety of topics such as “An Eye for Jewelry: How to Understand Jewelry Like a Historian (and How to Talk About it!)” and “What’s Hot, What’s Not.” The Jewelry History Series is open to anyone and gives attendees the opportunity to connect and network with others that have a shared passion for the history of jewelry. View the full schedule and list of speakers here.
In partnership with Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers, we are excited to host a complimentary Appraisal Day, held at The Original Miami Beach Antique Show. All attendees—with a valid show ticket—are invited to bring one item to be appraised by one of Skinner’s experienced appraisers. Each appraiser will provide an unbiased, expert opinion of the attendee’s collectible or antique, including a verbal estimated range of its fair market value.
When: Monday, January 6
Time: 11am to 6pm
Location: Ocean Drive Ballroom A
* Appraisals will be given on a first come, first served basis *
Custom Educational Tours (January 5 – 6, 2020):
Four guided tours will take place throughout the show floor. Jewelry Historian and Author, Beth Bernstein, will lead complimentary tours covering jewelry from Georgian to Retro Eras, while “Antiques Diva,” Toma Clark Haines, will lead tours covering furniture, art and collectables. An email invite will be sent out to all registered attendees prior to the show inviting them to attend. These tours fill up quickly and you must accept via email to join, so be on the look out!
Pop Up Education Sessions (January 6 – 7, 2020 at 2pm & 4pm):
Original Miami Beach Antique Show will also host several “pop up” educational clinics on the show floor. Led by Skinner experts, these brief, dynamic sessions will cover the subjects of fine art, ceramics, studio furniture and silver. All of these educational experiences will serve to arm attendees with the knowledge to shop the show with confidence. These sessions are available to all attendees and are free with your show ticket!
